There is absolutely no one who likes to be unhappy. It’s a feeling that everyone hates to experience in life.

But you see, being happy doesn’t have to be rocket science, and it doesn’t have to depend on someone or anything for that matter.

It only seems difficult to be happy when you don’t focus on yourself but on third-parties or something else.

Must your happiness come from other people or from certain things?

No, it doesn’t have to. In fact, making yourself happy all by yourself is the best way you can be happy.

Besides that, if you can’t make yourself happy all by yourself, then you could end up being unhappy most times.

Because true happiness comes from within, and sometimes, people will get on your nerves and somethings could make you sad as well.

However, if you can’t seem to make yourself happy after you have experienced all these, then being happy will be really hard.

So, because being happy is important and I want to tell you how to be happy, I also want to tell you the easiest way to achieve it.

Being happy is a level of contentment you have with life, that translates into you feeling and being in full control of your life as much as possible.

That means as you maintain this level of contentment and be in full control of your life, it should ignite a self-confidence that you are on the path you want to be on.

Which then eases your heart to smile, laugh, be in total peace with yourself, those around you, and with your environment.

Nevertheless, it’s not actually about money, health, love, or smiling always, but it’s from within and it’s a choice you make.

Money can’t buy real happiness, neither can it buy love nor peace of mind.

The real happiness is all about enjoying your own company and being in peace with yourself and with everything and everyone.

Note that, happiness itself is an effort and emotion that generates lots of contentment.

Happiness being a result of self-love is also good because self-love can motivate one to make wise choices in life and stay more focused.

Also, happiness can also boost your emotional intelligence as a result of being at peace with yourself and easing your heart.

Which could later translate into better relationships with others and even changing lives in some ways.

How to be happy every day all by yourself

Having earned a good understanding of what happiness truly means and why it is important to have it, you are now set to make yourself happy.

Below are nine ways you can be happy all the time and live a fulfilled, happy life all by yourself.

1. Listen to yourself

It’s not possible you haven’t done one or two things you were proud of, something you love and people loved it.

So try to take advantage to think of those sweet voices in your head telling you how great you were, how great you are, and how amazing you will be.

While you do just that, why don’t you just smile and say to yourself, “wow, I got really great things going on in my life and I am just amazing.”

Talk to yourself and listen to yourself always. Use it as a medium to tell yourself really great things and actually listen.

Also, use it as a medium to enjoy your own company. What’s your brain telling you to do for fun all alone?

Is it telling you to play with the objects you have around you? Go ahead and do just that. Listen to it.

Whatever it is, just do it. Your head can’t lie to you, but you can only tell yourself lies.

Fun fact: our brain is capable of making us do fun things with or without others almost every minute, only if we listen to it.

I mean, take Mr. Bean, for example, (one of my best comedians) this dude can play alone all day and enjoy his company because he knows how to listen to himself.

Sort of – awww.. that! Boom! He does it! And he’s happy!

2. Be good to yourself

Those things you know very well that will make others happy when you do it to them, do those same things to yourself.

Whether those things are going for shopping, cooking your best meals, watching your best Tv shows, or even playing your best game consoles.

Whatever it is that works for you, go ahead with it, as long as you are doing good to yourself by doing those things you love doing.

Until you find someone that will do good to you every minute, be the first to do that.

Do you think Mr. Bean has that time to waste? Not at all. So, don’t sweat it waiting for others to lift your mood, take charge of yourself.

Also, make sure you get used to improving your life every day. A healthy lifestyle equals a happier life.

If you can keep doing good to yourself and improve your life consistently, you will be getting tasks done easily and it will help to boost your mood.

Make sure you are doing yourself good by making the right choices that you won’t have to regret later on.

3. Accept yourself as you are

You must also accept yourself as you are.

If you don’t do that, it is likely you will begin to wonder why you failed, why you’re not there yet, why you are short, fat, ugly and the rest.

So, embrace gratitude and master how to be grateful for all it is you have got.

It’s also important to know that everyone got a special gift hidden in them.

You just have to explore and find out what yours is, rather than being unhappy and worrying about those things you wish you had.

In addition, don’t take yourself too seriously. Try to find humor in everything, as it will be the opposite when you get too serious about them.

4. Learn to forgive yourself

It is understandable how it feels like when you have done things you regret, but will you rather not forgive yourself and keep making yourself unhappy?

If some people can forgive you for doing something wrong, why won’t you be able to forgive yourself?

Whether it is something wrong you did to yourself or to someone else, forgiveness is forgiveness.

However, don’t go on saying that, “theirs is theirs and this is mine” so in that case, you won’t forgive yourself because it is yours.

Accept your failures and mistakes, forgive yourself, forget about them, and learn from them.

Let it go, while you move on to the next big things. Those worries you have will weigh you down and prevent you from moving ahead.

You wouldn’t know how much you make yourself sad by not forgiving yourself until you let it go.

5. Be serious with health

It’s sad to say, but if you don’t take your health seriously, you would find it extra hard to be happy.

Well, if you’re not healthy, you won’t be able to do good to yourself as you wanted, not to talk of being able to listen to yourself.

Also, there is a great feeling you get knowing you are alive and you are fit to do what everyone else can do.

In order to maintain good health, watch what you eat, exercise regularly, and see your doctor from time to time.

There’s no need to show less concern towards something concerning your health, no matter what that is.

You know very well that you had never wanted to suffer something that makes you wish you are never experiencing them.

In that case, to avoid such, the right measures should be carried out from the beginning.

6. Get rid of toxic people

There is something about toxic people that just screams, “hey, am going to keep on spoiling your mood from time to time, and I won’t answer to anything or anyone.”

Do you want such to keep on happening to you? Of course not.

So, why not get rid of people that rather make you feel sad instead of the opposite.

Who knows, maybe that’s what Mr. Bean is always avoiding by being alone most times.

Instead of being around them, why not be around those that will make you happy if you can’t be alone.

Good breathing is more like a sigh of relief.

As you do it in this practical way, you send signals to your brain that you are happy with what is going on around you and your brain will reciprocate.

When you come back to your house, how does it look like? Does it look good or not?

How are the sitting room and every part of the house looking?

You should make it a part of your morning and daily routine to quickly clean up those main areas of the house before you leave.

It should be conducive always because there is nothing as good and uplifting knowing you would be coming back to a tidy place.

When you back to such a place, you will feel relaxed and welcomed.

Seeing man-made things too often won’t get you in the mood of feeling grateful as you are supposed to.
